We here at
Brewster Shell are always concerned with keeping your car

Oil changes
are most possibly the cheapest form of adding life to your car.
Having this service at a 3,000-mile interval will add life to the
engine and at the same time allow our techs the opportunity to look
at the rest of the car. We also keep a 3-year service history on
all services we perform. |
Tune-ups
still need to be performed. Many people think that a 100,000 mile
tune-up is all that is necessary, but this is not true. The spark
plugs are the only component that has that life expectancy. Fuel
filters and air filters are still very serviceable and should be
looked at and or changed every 15,000 to 25,000 mile. |
Using quality
gasoline is just as important. Shell, like most major oil companies,
has a quality control program and own our own storage facilities.
We have many additives that are proprietary, enough so that the
Formula Shell gasolines are patented. This makes Formula Shell products
more fuel-efficient then many competitors. |
Many smaller
named stations, (Getty, Citgo, BP, Coastal,etc.) do not have any
quality controls, nor do they own the storage facilities that the
gas is stored in. Most pull from the same tanks, with out any of
the additives that make Formula Shell an outstanding product. |
