Some points to know about buying gas... | Credit Cards - The cost of credit card processing has gone from about $3,000.00 per month to about $5,000.00 per month.
- The cost is based on a 3% fee for all cards except Shell, or Shell MasterCard.
- The Shell MasterCard has a 5% rebate on all shell gas purchases, this amounts to over $.10 per gallon at today's prices.
Gasoline Prices - The natural order of supply and demand has contributed greatly to the recent price climbs.
- The OPEC supply has dropped slightly over the last year, while out demand continues to increase.
- The American wells were capped when the cost of buying the product became cheaper then pulling the crude through our wells. That has given the oil companies a lot of thinking to do.
The question is whether or not to reopen the wells which will drive the
costs back down. However, that could possibly push costs down to the
same levels that caused the wells to be capped in the first place. | Although these issues will remain in the spotlight for some time, you
